Protect rare, threatened sand dunes by helping with shoreline cleanup at Ipperwash Beach

You are invited to join St. Clair Conservation and the Ipperwash Beach Club in protecting rare and critically threatened sand dune ecosystems through an 'end-of-summer' annual beach cleanup.

The summer season brings family and friends together on our beautiful beaches but sometimes leaves damaging garbage.

You are invited to join in an event to clean up Ipperwash Beach by removing garbage and protecting dunes.

Meet the organizers at the Centre Ipperwash Beach boat launch (at the end of Ipperwash Road, Lambton Shores) on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

You are encouraged to wear close-toed footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and to bring a hat, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle.

You may also want to bring gloves although St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) will provide gloves for those who don't have them. SCRCA will also provide garbage bags.

There are snacks from SCRCA and there is free ice cream for all volunteers, graciously donated by Ipperwash Beach Club.
