Great job, Pine River Watershed network!

The Pine River Watershed Initiative Network (PRWIN) has accomplished many great things over the years. The Network is featured in the Saugeen Watershed Community Highlight and the Healthy Lake Huron – Clean Water, Clean Beaches Partnership.

The Pine River network is protecting and improving water quality and soil health by putting practical projects in the ground.

Their record of accomplishments is really amazing.

Watch this new video to find out some of what they have achieved to protect the Pine River Watershed and Lake Huron:

Accomplishments

They have planted 340,000 trees!

If that's not enough, take a look at some of their other accomplishments. They have:

  • Kept livestock out of 24 kilometres of creeks through exclusion fencing.
  • Completed 16 erosion control structures.
  • Ten livestock river crossings.
  • Seven wetlands.
  • Twenty-one windbreaks.
  • Four riverbank restorations.
  • Two solar livestock water sources.
